The Questions We Posed To Elpidophoros Before His Enthronement In May 2019!! (EN-GR)

Yours truly had nailed almost all the problems Elpidophoros’ election would create for our Church and community before his enthronement!!

In the two years before the establishment of Helleniscope (Fall of 2019), I was writing for the weekly “Efimerida of New York” and periodically for Kalami.us, where we exposed the biggest scandal in the modern history of the Patriarchate, the Bulgarian gay escorts visiting with Emmanuel and his “assistant” Maximos in the building of the Metropolis of Paris (April-May of 2019). However, the spring of 2019 was quite busy, as the Patriarchate elected Elpidophoros as the new Archbishop of America.

I wrote an avalanche of comments between his election (May 11, 2019) and his enthronement (June 21, 2019) and after.  In those, I explained the reasons why I thought his election would be a disaster, and I initially gave him the nickname “Cardinal Elpidophoros” for his Papist ideas, to eventually move to “Elpidoktonos” (Hope Killer)… These days, I was a very lonely voice.  Nobody else would question the numerous flaws in his biography: His service in the Turkish Army (intelligence units) reported by credible American news sources, his essay on “First Without Equals” (Primus Sine Paribus) revealing his anti-Orthodox, Papist views, his paper on “Religion and Geopolitics In Ukraine” expeditiously kissing-up to the Deep State war-mongers, his limited theological knowledge, and his arrogance beyond belief as he had come to America for a few months a few years earlier and he gave speeches pretending to know the Greek-American community.

In recent months, everybody has been up in arms against him – not only TNH (who then were smooching him).  Do I need to name these new critics?  I don’t think so. You can google his name and find many articles here and in Greece from writers who suddenly “saw the light.” I will explain again soon what “light did they see” and who is genuinely pushing for Elpidophoros’ immediate removal.  It becomes more apparent by the day.

But for now, I thought it would be helpful for all of us to see who is an “independent” writer, who can analyze the political and other situations correctly, and who are the “parrots” and the “puppets” – and we have no shortage of those… So, I went back to my writings in May and June of 2019, and I picked the eight questions I posed to Elpidophoros a few days after his election.  This piece was published on the weekend of May 18, 2019, in “Efimerida of New York,” and as I reread it yesterday, almost five years later, it was pretty impressive. But I will leave the comments to you… Below, you can read it in English and the original Greek…

Some hot questions about Cardinal Elpidophoros….

Instead of flatterings and outpourings of love, which sound insincere the way he writes them, Cardinal Elpidophoros would much more easily gain the trust of all of us if he answered a few simple questions:

1) If the Greece-Turkey confrontation in the Aegean ends in an armed conflict, as everything seems to indicate, which country would he pray for? Which country’s troops will he bless? We have every right to know his position because of his “boss,” Pat. Bartholomew is known to have blessed the Turkish “asker” (troops) in the invasion and illegal occupation of Syrian territory… We are not asking him to tell us his position on the Turkish invasion of Cyprus… But we remind him that other Patriarchs in the past were also blackmailed (by the Turks), and one in fact (Gregorios the 5th) was hanged from the gate of the Patriarchate, which has since remained closed… But he was a man and a Hellene!….
2) If the Omogenia proceeds with a request and decides to fight for the recognition of the Hellenic Genocides of Asia Minor, will he be with us, or will he stand in the way? I emphasize this because the pressures faced by AB Demetrios on the matter are well-known and possibly led, among other things, to his resignation.
3) Does Elpidophoros plan to be transparent in the Archdiocese’s finances? More specifically, Will he publish the salary list of its employees on the Archdiocese website? Will it do the same for endowments?
4) If a parish is closed and its properties are sold, will he promise that the proceeds will not go to the bottomless coffers of the Patriarchate?
5) Tens of millions of dollars have been collected and are resting in “patriarchal funds” in the USA, money of “Archons”, while the Archdiocese is almost bankrupt. What does he plan to do? Will he support the interests of the Patriarch or the Greek-American community?
6) What is his position on issues of homosexuality of priests and hierarchs? Will he show tolerance like Bartholomew, who, instead of punishing them, he rewarded them? And what is his position on gay marriage?
7) What is his position on abortions? Specifically, does he intend to oppose anti-Christian laws like those of New York and Virginia, or will Father Alex convince him not to go against his friend, the disgusting Governor Cuomo?
8) Finally and most importantly, will he work with Father Alex or send him to the Hamptons in order to leave GOA free and clean?

Μερικά καυτά ερωτήματα για τον καρδινάλιο Ελπιδοφόρο….

Αντί των φιλοφρονήσεων και των διαχύσεων αγάπης, που με τον τρόπο που τις γράφει ακούγονται ανειλικρινείς, ο καρδινάλιος Ελπιδοφόρος θα αποκτούσε πολύ ευκολότερα την εμπιστοσύνη όλων μας εάν απαντούσε σε μερικές απλές ερωτήσεις:

• Εάν η αντιπαράθεση Ελλάδας-Τουρκίας στο Αιγαίο καταλήξει σε ένοπλη σύγκρουση όπως όλα δείχνουν, υπέρ ποίας χώρας θα προσευχηθεί; Ποίας χώρας τα στρατεύματα θα ευλογήσει; Εχουμε κάθε δικαίωμα να γνωρίζουμε τη θέση του επειδή ο προϊστάμενός του, ο κ. Βαρθολομαίος, είναι γνωστό ότι ευλόγησε τα τουρκικά ασκέρια στην εισβολή και παράνομη κατοχή συριακού εδάφους… Δεν του ζητάμε να μας πεί τη θέση του για την τουρκική εισβολή στην Κύπρο… Αλλά του θυμίζουμε ότι και άλλοι Πατριάρχες εκβιάστηκαν και ένας μάλιστα (Γρηγόριος ο Ε’) κρεμάστηκε από την πύλη του Πατριαρχείου που έκτοτε έμεινε κλειστή… Ηταν όμως άντρας και Ελληνας…
• Εάν η Ομογένεια προχωρήσει σε αίτημα και μάχη για την αναγνώριση της Γενοκτονίας του Μικρασιατικού Ελληνισμού, θα είναι μαζί μας ή θα σταθεί εμπόδιο; Το τονίζω επειδή είναι γνωστές οι πιέσεις που δέχτηκε ο Αρχ.Δημήτριος για το θέμα και οδήγησαν πιθανότητα, μεταξύ αλλων, στο σπρώξιμό του προς παραίτηση.
• Εχει σκοπό να υπάρξει διαφάνεια στα οικονομικά της Αρχιεπισκοπής; Και πιο συγκεκριμένα: Θα δημοσιεύσει στην ιστοσελίδα της Αρχιεπισκοπής το μισθολόγιο των υπαλλήλων της;  Θα κάνει το ίδιο για τα κληροδοτήματα;
• Εάν κλείσει κάποια κοινότητα και πωληθούν τα ακίνητά της θα υποσχεθεί ότι το αντίτιμο δεν θα πάει στο χωρίς πάτο ταμείο του Πατριαρχείου;
• Δεκάδες εκατ. δολάρια έχουν μαζευτεί και αναπαύονται σε ”πατριαρχικά ταμεία” στις ΗΠΑ, χρήματα ”αρχόντων”, ενώ η Αρχιεπισκοπή είναι σχεδόν χρεοκοπημένη. Τι προτίθεται να πράξει; Θα υποστηρίξει τα συμφέροντα του πατριάρχη ή του Ελληνισμού Αμερικής;
• Ποια είναι η θέση του για ζητήματα ομοφυλοφιλίας των ιερέων και ιεραρχών; Θα δείξει ανοχή όπως και ο Βαρθολομαίος, ο οποίος αντί να τους τιμωρεί τους επιβραβεύει; Και ποια είναι η θέση του για τους γάμους ομοφυλοφίλων;
• Ποια είναι η θέση του για τις εκτρώσεις; Συγκεκριμένα, σκοπεύει να εναντιωθεί σε νόμους αντιχριστιανικούς όπως της Ν.Υόρκης και της Βιρτζίνια ή θα τον πείσει ο φάδερ Αλεξ να μην πάει κόντρα στον φίλο του τον ελεεινό κυβερνήτη Κουόμο;
• Τέλος και πολύ σημαντικό, θα συνεργαστεί με τον φάδερ Αλεξ ή θα τον στείλει στα Χάμπτονς να ξεβρωμίσει ο τόπος;
