The letter of resignation of Nikos Amorgianos is a powerful statement of the feelings of the average members of his party and they are truly “raw”… Here is a sample: “Do you believe against the laws of nature that the perversion which has become the Law of the State is a model for our youth? Do you believe that what is Legal is also Moral?” (Below you can read the full letter in English and Greek).
Meanwhile, we read from the commentary “parapolitika” in Newsbreak.gr, titled “They are more scared by Karamanlis”:
“Last week, Mr. Kostas Karamanlis sat down at an informal dinner in Thessaloniki. The fact that 70 executives of the local prefecture, who also had the initiative for the dinner in honor of the former prime minister, were at the table with him is significant. Something that of course never happened for Mitsotakis!
Typical is the remark of an ND MP, during the discussion of the controversial bill, after the Samaras speech: If Kostas makes a move, Mitsotakis will not just leave the government, but the Parliament itself!”

According to the Director of N.D. Mr. Yiannis Smyrlis and the REGISTER
Your Excellency Prime Minister,
After 30 whole years in the center-right faction of the New Democracy, supporting and serving the party from the position of the Political Executive of the Education and Culture Sectors and having Sector Leaders Mr. Giulekas, Kefalogiannis, and Kerameos, I find myself in the sad position of resigning. The reason is known after you managed to sacrifice 41% for the sake of two or three of your partners, that their personal sexual choice became the Law of the State.
I will not go into detail to ask you, why deprive children who have been waiting for years to say the word MOM? Because, certainly, our politics and politicians do not have the same sensitivities of the people of everyday life, of toil and next door. The same code of communication and logic.
You did the impossible! You came AGAINST the Society and the Church! Something you obviously cannot perceive, or leaves you coldly indifferent, like the sell-out of our Macedonia for example. And I cannot understand what would be the reason for someone to vote for New Democracy and not SYRIZA?
You will soon experience the loneliness of political isolation. Woe to the MPs who will be left behind after your political escape. Gone are the days when the people followed foolishness and mockery. Do you believe against the laws of nature that the perversion which has become the Law of the State is a model for our youth? Do you believe that what is Legal is also Moral?
Mr. President, the picture you gave me when we served together in 1990 in the Air Force in Tripoli was completely different. Perhaps because I considered your father an important and pious politician. Appearances are rather deceiving.
You managed to make us ashamed to say that we are Greeks, since all those who hate this country of heroes and martyrs are celebrating, saying that Greece is the first Orthodox country in the world to accept the ANOMALITY!

Έπειτα από 30 ολόκληρα χρόνια στην κεντροδεξιά παράταξη της Νέας Δημοκρατίας, στηρίζοντας και υπηρετώντας το κόμμα από την θέση του Πολιτικού Στελέχους των Τομέων Παιδείας και Πολιτισμού και έχοντας Τομεάρχες τους κ.κ. Γκιουλέκα, Κεφαλογιάννη και Κεραμέως, βρίσκομαι στην θλιβερή θέση να παραιτηθώ. Ο λόγος γνωστός, αφού καταφέρατε να θυσιάσετε το 41% για χάρη δύο τριών συνεργατών σας, που η προσωπική τους σεξουαλική επιλογή έγινε Νόμος του Κράτους.
Δεν θα μπω σε λεπτομέρειες για να σας ρωτήσω, γιατί να στερήσετε από τα παιδιά που περιμένουν εδώ και χρόνια να πουν την λέξη ΜΑΜΑ; Διότι είναι σίγουρο πως η πολιτική και οι πολιτικοί μας δεν έχουν τις ίδιες ευαισθησίες των ανθρώπων της καθημερινότητας, του μόχθου και της διπλανής πόρτας. Τον ίδιο κώδικα επικοινωνίας και λογικής.
Καταφέρατε το ακατόρθωτο! Να έρθετε ΑΠΕΝΑΝΤΙ στην Κοινωνία και την Εκκλησία! Κάτι που προφανώς δεν μπορείτε να αντιληφθείτε, ή σας αφήνει παγερά αδιάφορο, όπως το ξεπούλημα της Μακεδονίας μας για παράδειγμα. Και δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω ποιος θα ήταν πλέον ο λόγος να ψηφίσει κάποιος την Νέα Δημοκρατία και όχι τον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ;
Την μοναξιά της πολιτικής απομόνωσης θα την βιώσετε σύντομα. Αλίμονο στους Βουλευτές που θα μείνουν πίσω μετά την πολιτική σας δραπέτευση. Παρήλθαν οι εποχές που ο λαός ακολουθούσε την ανοησία και την κοροϊδία. Πραγματικά, πιστεύετε κόντρα στους φυσικούς νόμους ότι, η διαστροφή που έγινε Νόμος του Κράτους αποτελεί πρότυπο για τους νέους μας; Πιστεύετε πως ό,τι είναι Νόμιμο είναι και Ηθικό;
Κύριε Πρόεδρε, η εικόνα που μου δώσατε όταν συν-υπηρετούσαμε μαζί το 1990 στην Πολεμική Αεροπορία στην Τρίπολη ήταν τελείως διαφορετική. Ίσως επειδή θεωρούσα σημαντικό και ευσεβή πολιτικό τον πατέρα σας. Τα φαινόμενα απατούν μάλλον.
Καταφέρατε να ντρεπόμαστε πλέον να λέμε πως είμαστε Έλληνες, αφού πανηγυρίζουν όλοι αυτοί που μισούν αυτήν την χώρα των ηρώων και των μαρτύρων, λέγοντας πως η Ελλάδα είναι η πρώτη Ορθόδοξη χώρα παγκοσμίως που αποδέχτηκε την ΑΝΩΜΑΛΙΑ!

Karamanlis traded his uncle’s name to become prime minister. He gave good speeches, but he has nothing to show for his tenure, other than the riots of 2008, when Athens was almost burnt to the ground and then, the bankruptcy, which was a long time coming, but exploded during his premiership. Bottom line: useless.
At least Mitsotakis has done plenty good, while under extreme difficulties, such as Covid and Turkey’s menacing presence
Lambros, ask your friends in DC to give you the true story about the riots in Athens in 2008, the wild fires and finally the assassination attempt against him… the same deep state people who try to take out Trump are those who tried to kill Karamanlis.. you can also search Helleniscope. Now, as far as Karamanlis is concerned, the riots, which are the worst recorded since the Dekembriana, happened on his watch. And he did NOTHING to stop them. That’s why he’s responsible. Athens was burning then. Inaction when so much damage was perpetrated is not an option. Yiorgos Papandreou, the youngest did not create a deficit. He filed for bankruptcy within a month of his tenure. The unsustainable deficit began with his father Andreas. Then, every candidate for office promised more and more to voters. And all that was coming from loans. Plus the endemic tax avoidance. Karamanlis did not tell anyone how bad things were, as a matter of fact, he said that Greece was in good shape, when the markets crashed in 2008. He lied.
Again, do you realize that the riots were organized operations by foreign agents?
I guess you mean that the CIA encouraged rioting to punish Karamanlis for considering Russian gas. Greeks don’t need much encouragement to riot. But they were exceptionally violent, so, it wouldn’t be a long stretch to attribute it to foreign agents.
There was a lot of evidence of foreign interference… with all the signs of the CIA all over. I don’t remember the exact facts but they were published. Yes but answer some of the many points made here. You accused Karamanlis but you seem to bypass that the CIA attempted to assassinate him – along with the riots etc. What’s the deal? We are posing serious questions and you have to take a position.
Nick. I can’t take a position on the CIA attempting to assassinate Karamanlis (the nephew), because I have not seen that anywhere. I don’t pay attention to rumors or conspiracy news, until it is proven. I understand that CIA is a secret agency, but my question is, why they didn’t succeed, if that was their plan and why would they want to kill him. He’s pro American. He visited the US during his tenure. And I always liked him and was hoping for better things for Greece. Which I think Mitsotakis is delivering. I believe that Andreas, was the worst thing that happened to Greece. Tsipras was an amateur. He went to Russia, as soon as he was sworn in, asking for loans, but, Putin refused. He thought he could play the West against Russia. But, it didnt work. That lesson is why Greece should stay with the West. Grece is too small to attempt Turkey’s games.

One caveat: You said that the CIA was planning to assassinate him. There is no such indication with the article. And have you heard if anyone was actually found guilty of spying on him? I like to withhold judgement until a verdict is announced.
Moreover, spying on allies is routine. Do you remember the revelations that Americans were spying on Germany’s Merkel? How pissed off she was.
