Sixteen months ago, we fought in New York, against the “artistic” consul Mr. Konstantinou who thought that the Greek Consulate is his private gallery and he had the right to exhibit a disgraceful “Pink Greek Flag”, made by artist Georgia Lale. The consul was removed a few months later, and this was the end of the story.  Now we have another “progressive” Athens Mayor Haris Doukas, who splashed a pink Greek Flag all over City Hall!! In Athens City Hall, thanks to progressivism, shame is on display

Artist Georgia Lale became known when her work – an insult to our national symbol – the pink Greek flag , which she created as a sign of protest against domestic violence and violence against women, was exhibited at the Greek Consulate General in New York!

And perhaps after the strong reactions that were provoked, the “project” was dismantled by order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , but it was considered a sign of… progressivism.

And that’s why the mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas , decided that it should adorn the Athens city hall!

The “flag” is obviously a work from a franchise-type series of activism works, because the artist later made a similar work, not about gender violence, but about the American flag.
