Take a look at the photos of destruction from the Iranian missile attacks in Israel. Mossad headquarters were hit, multiple military installations, the famous Weissman Institute, numerous energy facilities, the Israeli Stock Exchange, and, of course, residential areas and hospitals. War is ugly on all sides, and American media just started to share the hidden side, that of Israel. But since the establishment of Israel eight decades ago, this is the first time Israelis have gotten a real feeling of what war means!! And this perhaps will lead them to accept peace in the long term… Only if you have felt, as we Greeks have felt multiple times in the last 100-120 years, the real impact of war, will you realize that peace is a one-way street.
As we look at these photos, we cannot avoid considering what the Israeli people were thinking about Gaza: They were overwhelmingly supporting Netanyahu!! Here are some polls:
Israel Democracy Institute / Wall Street Journal (Dec 2023):

82% of Israeli Jews supported forced displacement of Gaza residents.

We can only wonder whether they share the same feelings now… As I mentioned at the beginning, we Greeks have experienced the harsh reality of war on several occasions over the last 100-120 years, which is why we are ardent supporters of diplomacy and peace.

Well, at least they cancelled the Gay Pride parades and all.
That’s one side benefit of the ayatolla’s wrath. Not to mention all mentally healthy people around the world. Sadly I fear the real danger to widespread destruction comes from elsewhere…not Iran. Pakistan chafes at the bit and only India’s nuclear capabilities thwarts action…but it’s volatile on Pakistan deep state notwithstanding. We have France and the UK to thank for the abject mess in the region ..no I’m not leaving out the US…promoting and implementing regime changes in the name of what? Certainly anything but democracy.
Well, there are consequences to beating up the world. Same goes for USA.
