EDITOR’S NOTE. As of June 26, 2025, Kimberly Guilfoyle has not yet been confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Ambassador to Greece. The Administration is reportedly aiming to hold her Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing in late June or early July, before the August recess, with a confirmation vote expected shortly thereafter.
Assuming the Senate acts on schedule, Guilfoyle would likely be confirmed in early July, followed by her formal arrival in Athens as early as September 2025.

Is Kimberly Guilfoyle the official ambassador to Greece yet?
As of June 20, no.
However, this week, Charles Kushner, father of Jared Kushner and father-in-law of Ivanka Trump, was sworn in as the new ambassador to France and Monaco. Edward Walsh was sworn in as the U.S. ambassador to Ireland a day later.
What about Guilfoyle?
Six months ago, reports surfaced about Guilfoyle’s new role in the Trump administration − and why.
In December 2024, just over a month after Election Day, photos surfaced online of Donald Trump Jr. kissing socialite Bettina Anderson, making global news and signaling the end of Donald Trump Jr.’s relationship with Guilfoyle.
In May, the former Fox News host posted that she was one step closer to living the Greek ambassador life — she recently graduated from “ambassador school.”
On May 9, Guilfoyle shared an Instagram post from @bienvenidos.us that features a photo of her holding what looks like a diploma. The post had a “felicidades” (congratulations) message: “Kimberly Guilfoyle graduates from ambassador school ahead of U.S. ambassador appointment to Greece.”

Who is Donald Trump Jr.?
Donald Trump Jr., the eldest child of Donald Trump and the late Ivana Trump, was born on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 1977. His siblings are Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, half-sister Tiffany Trump born to Donald Trump and Marla Maples, and half-brother Barron Trump, born to Donald and Melania Trump.
Donald Trump Jr. previously was married to former model Vanessa Trump from 2005 to 2018. They have five children: Kai Madison Trump, Donald Trump III, Tristan Trump, Spencer Trump and Chloe Trump. Currently, Vanessa Trump is dating golf legend and Donald Trump’s longtime friend, Tiger Woods.
Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle started dating in 2018 after his divorce was finalized from Vanessa Trump. The pair were engaged and bought a house together in 2021 and split sometime in 2024.
In December 2024, Donald Trump Jr. was publicly spotted with model Bettina Anderson of Palm Beach, Florida.
The pair has since attended several high-profile events such as Donald and Melania Trump’s New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, Inauguration Day 2025 festivities in Washington, D.C., Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans with the Trump family, Melania Trump’s White House Easter Egg Roll and Donald Trump’s 79th birthday-Army military parade celebration in D.C.
Who is Kimberly Guilfoyle? When did Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle break up?
Kimberly Guilfoyle is a former model, attorney and Fox News host from San Francisco, California. She’s been a familiar face in the Trump circle since 2018. Guilfoyle previously appeared on “The Five” and “Outnumbered” on Fox News. Before her relationship with Donald Trump Jr., Guilfoyle was previously married to California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, for four years while he was the mayor of San Francisco. They divorced in 2006, and she married furniture heir Eric Villency the same year. They had a son, Ronan Villency, but divorced in 2009.
In December 2024, photos of Donald Trump Jr. and Palm Beach, Florida, socialite Bettina Anderson were published online. Days later, Donald Trump appointed Guilfoyle as ambassador to Greece. According to a June 18, 2025, record search, Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle’s home in Jupiter is off the market and both names appear on property records.
Is Kimberly Guilfoyle the US ambassador to Greece? Will Kimberly Guilfoyle move to Greece after Donald Trump Jr. split?
On Dec. 10, 2024, then-President-elect Donald Trump nominated Kimberly Guilfoyle, his son Donald Trump Jr.’s former fiancee, to be US ambassador to Greece. A Senate confirmation is required, but as of June 20, 2025, one has not been scheduled. Guilfoyle’s Instagram description mentions her new post: “Public figure. Appointed by President Donald J. Trump as the U.S. Ambassador to Greece.”
Ambassadors typically are based at the U.S. embassy of the host country, or in this case, 91 Vasilisis Sophias Ave., 10160 Athens, Greece.
Though she and Donald Trump Jr. are no longer dating, Guilfoyle continues to be a strong champion for his father and uses her various platforms − her X presence, Instagram and Rumble podcast − to spread Trump administration news. In the months following her split from Donald Trump Jr., Guilfoyle:
- received an award at a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s private club
- attended Inauguration Day 2025 events in Washington, D.C. (along with Donald Trump Jr., his ex-wife Vanessa Trump and their children, and his girlfriend Bettina Anderson)
- attended Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana, as did the Trump family (including Donald Trump Jr., three of his children and Anderson)
- attended Palm Beach, Florida, society functions and galas
- participated in a Greek Independence Day celebration at the White House with Donald Trump. Guilfoyle shared footage of her March 24 speech to her social networks with one caption stating, “Today, we celebrate and cherish our rich history and ensuring bond, the United States and Greece.”
- graduated from “ambassador school,” sharing a May 9 Instagram post that features a photo of her holding what looks like a diploma (see below)
Who was ambassador to Greece before Kimberly Guilfoyle was announced as a future diplomat?
George Tsunis served as US ambassador to Greece from 2022 to 2025. He was nominated by former President Joe Biden on Oct. 8, 2021, then confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 10, 2022. He began serving as ambassador to Greece on May 10, 2022, until Jan. 20, 2025, the date of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
During his term, Tsunis had frequently posted messages under the @USambassadorGR handle on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. On Jan. 17, 2025, he delivered a farewell tweet: “Serving as U.S. Ambassador to Greece has been the honor of a lifetime. As a Greek-American, returning to serve in the land where my parents were born has made this journey even more meaningful. The philoxenia, wisdom, and enduring spirit that shaped my childhood were magnificently strengthened during my time here. As of June 20, 2025, there has been no mentions of Kimberly Guilfoyle’s appointment on the official X handles for the Greece ambassador and the U.S. Embassy in Athens account, except for a retweet of the Greek Independence Day celebration on March 24, 2025, at the White House.

What is ambassador school?
Though Donald Trump’s nominee for ambassador to Greece posted about graduating from “ambassador school,” it’s not really called that.
On May 7, Breitbart News journalist Matthew Boyle shared a photo online of Kimberly Guilfoyle “graduating from ambassador school.”
The U.S. State Department requires ambassadors and U.S. diplomats to undergo training at the Foreign Service Institute. According to its site, the curriculum involves foreign language studies, understanding state government and leadership training.

Indeed there is a considerable delay. I wonder if it is not a coincidence, but it has to do with the secret dealings between Trump and Erdogan…
It is more than obvious that Turkey for long time is preparing militarily to snatch one or more Greek islands. And the timing looks good now. Erdogan wants Trump not to intervene and after he gets what he wants, he will easily sell his “friend” Putin…
Maybe the absence of an American ambassador in Athens is convenient if such a scenario is valid. If something so devious has been agreed between Trump and Erdogan and will happen this summer, then there will be so much anger in Athens that there will be no need for an ambassador…
