Pete Chambers entered the U.S. Army in 1983, eventually becoming a Green Beret in the U.S. Army Special Forces, a title few ever achieve. He went on to serve as a combat medic, Special Forces team leader, and later a flight surgeon, deploying multiple times to conflict zones.

In the wake of 9/11, Chambers returned to active duty, balancing elite medical training with battlefield grit. At age 47—long after most would consider such a challenge—he became the first physician to graduate from the full Special Forces Qualification Course, a feat that still turns heads in the military community.

His dedication earned him high honors, including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Combat Medical Badge. But more than the medals, Chambers carries the stories of the soldiers he saved, the missions he completed, and the sacrifices he made—including the injuries he sustained in combat.

Following his combat service, Chambers transitioned into a civilian medical practice, serving as an ER doctor, SWAT team medic, and deputy with the county sheriff’s department. But his medical career took a fateful turn during the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Securing the Texas border through a military-style organization and local law enforcement.

• Restoring medical choice and transparency, especially in public health and education.

• Defending parental rights, Second Amendment rights, and religious liberties.

• Holding federal agencies and officials accountable—going so far as to declare he’d “arrest Anthony Fauci” if warranted by law.

His campaign website calls for a “Quiet Professional” in leadership—a nod to his Special Forces background—. Still, his message is anything but quiet: “Texas needs a warrior, not a career politician.”
After all of the above does anyone doubt that he will be running as a Republican?
