While the West struggles to get a single hypersonic missile off the launchpad, Russia is already cruising at Mach 10 and beyond. Yet somehow, amid all the geopolitical turbulence, the latest European sanctions hit… toilet bowls, motorized toys, puzzles, and tricycles. In other words, Russia, China, and even the Houthis can sink an American warship – including an aircraft carrier at will (Trump was forced to withdraw the US Navy from the range of Houthis missiles last year) – yet the West thinks that – after so many years of utter failure – sanctions will be effective…
Helleniscope has stated for many years the obvious truth for those who can analyze the facts: Russia is the most self-sufficient country on Earth, but in a strategic partnership with China, Iran, and the BRICS, the game of Hegemony for the “Combined West” IS OVER. Unless, of course, they choose to destroy humanity using nuclear weapons. This likelihood has become all the more imminent, especially if one considers that degenerate and satanic ideologies control Western leadership.
When asked by a reporter what he thought of such sanctions, Vladimir Putin didn’t miss a beat. With trademark deadpan humor, he fired off one of the most memorable lines of his presidency:
“The fact that they cancelled imports of our toilet bowls will cost them dearly. I think they will need them if they keep the same policies with regard to the Russian Federation.”
It’s classic Putin — a mix of sarcasm, confidence, and bathroom humor. Behind the laugh, though, is a jab: Russia claims to be decades ahead in missile tech, while the West, busy banning plumbing, risks a very different kind of “backfire.”
In short, Moscow’s message is clear — you can sanction the toilets, but you can’t flush away hypersonics.

Question: Yesterday, we heard yet another statement by the US President regarding him either meeting with you or not meeting with you, and the Ukraine crisis, too. Almost at the same time, the United States imposed sanctions on Russian oil companies.
Today, the EU imposed another round of anti-Russia sanctions, this time placing a ban on toilet bowls, motorised toys, puzzles, and tricycles.
What do you think about this?
President of Russia Vladimir Putin: The fact that they cancelled imports of our toilet bowls will cost them dearly. I think they will need them if they keep the same policies with regard to the Russian Federation.
What can I say about the US President’s statement? In the most recent telephone conversation, the idea of a meeting and the venue were proposed by the American side. I agreed with the idea and expressed my views in this regard pointing out that, without a doubt, such meetings must be well prepared. It would be a mistake for me and the US President to approach it lightly and come out from this meeting without achieving the anticipated result.
Admittedly, the US President agreed with that completely and said that a number of officials from the current administration would work on preparing this meeting. He named some of them, and I said that once the American side finalises the list of those who will be preparing the meeting, we will also announce who will be involved from the Russian side. But at the initial stage, without a doubt, the first steps towards this end should be taken by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and US Secretary of State Rubio. That is what we decided.
Now I see – I have read the statement – that the US President decided to cancel or rather to postpone this meeting. What can I say? Dialogue is always better than confrontation, disputes, or, even more so, war. Therefore, we have always supported dialogue, and we continue to do so.
Now, regarding the new sanctions. First, there is nothing new about them. Clearly, they will have serious implications for us, but they will not significantly affect our economic well-being.
It is well known that during his first presidential term, President Trump imposed the largest number of sanctions ever imposed on the Russian Federation. Today, they have two aspects, namely, political and economic.
What are we talking about in terms of the political aspect? It implies an attempt to put pressure on Russia. But no self-respecting country and no self-respecting people ever make decisions under pressure. Without a doubt, Russia has the privilege of considering itself among those self-respecting countries and peoples. That is the first point.
The second point is purely economic.
Speaking of the political aspect this, of course, represents an unfriendly step with regard to Russia. That much is clear, and it does not help strengthen Russia-US relations, which have just begun to recover. Of course, actions like this by the US administration harm Russia-US relations.
America and Europe’s leaders, drunk on their own hubris, refuse to admit: that the war in Ukraine has become Europe’s Stalingrad — not a battlefield defeat, but a civilizational one.
The Russians challenged the Empire and they won. And with that, the myth of Western supremacy — military, economic, moral, and intellectual — has been smashed beyond repair. Hurray!
Now we can only hope that a complete collapse is avoidable… and that somehow reason (or God) can avoid it.

“The Russians challenged the empire and they won”. What have they win? After three years of war, hundreds of thousands of lost lives, money spent on military hardware instead of building up Russia’s economy and there is no end in sight, you call that “winning”?
Bob you keep believing the bs fed to all of us by main stream media. For example the ratio of killed in battle is 15:1 Ukrainians to Russians. And this is still a Special Military Operation. There is a million Russian reserves ready to jump in the frontlines when ordered.
This is not new for either Russia or the aggressive Europeans. Almost every century since the 1600s they invade Russia and each time they have their butt kicked. The Swedish army, Napoleon, Hitler and now this. This time the Russian Army will not march in Berlin and/or Paris as before. They will send a few Oreshniks and a few Kinzals – of which the West has none. And we all be very happy if this is the end of the War and it doesn’t turn in a nuclear disaster.
Nick. Where have you seen the 15:1 casualty rate? I have not seen it anywhere. If that was the case, the war would have been over by now. How can Ukraine, with less people sustain such losses? Unless you include the school children that were killed this week by a Russian missile.
Another point. Hitler, Napoleon and the Swedes is ancient history. Hitler attacked France and England. Is France worried about Germany atttacking now? Did you know that the hatred between France and Germany was as strong as the Greek-Turkish hatred was? They have gotten over it by now and are cooperating as allies. Greece-Turkey unfortunately are not there. Because Turkey is not a democracy.
Putin is using that kind of logic to justify his militarism and the bloodletting in a modern Europe, that has moved ahead of the enmities of the past.
The Swedes, Hitler and Napoleon is NOT Ancient History. Why? Because these Russian victories were based: 1) On the famous Russian geography – the endless “strategic depth” and the deadly Russian Winter. 2) On highly developed over the centuries military strategy and tactics for land wars – which Western powers do not and cannot understand. 3) On the “Russian Psyche”, the resilience and the ability to martyrically withstand losses. They took 27 million dead in WW II!!! Ultimately, the Russian Psyche is founded on Orthodoxy. You cannot understand this basic fact unless you have read Tolstoi and Dostoyevsky. That much the West understood and in the 1990s tries to introduce the LAUGHABLE “Televangelists” – who the Russians literally laughed out of their country!!

Nick. Did you notice that the “interview” did not mention the two oil companies being sanctioned? The issue is not toilet bowls or toys. Putin’s attempt at being funny is his way of minimizing the severety of the latest sanctions by the US, in combination with the EU and Great Britain. The two oil companies being sanctioned is a serious blow to Russia. In addition, India is being pressured to stop bying oil from Russia. In addition, there is 300 billion dollars of Russian money frozen in European banks. The EU leaders are considering on giving that money to Ukraine to re-build.
Keep in mind that 90% of world money transfers are in dollars. Russia can’t escape the punishment.
Do you really think that the oil companies sanctions will have ANY effect? NONE. The obvious goal by Trump and the Deep Staters who guide him is to pull India out of buying Russian oil and eventually split the massive Eurasian block of Russia-China-India-Iran etc. Too little, too late. They have lost the game. They lost the arms race – all American hypersonic missiles tests for the last 10 years failed. They lost the economy game as ALL production is in Eurasia. What is left? Nothing. If they have some sense of humanity the banksters controlling the West should give it up and negotiate a multipolar world. They are drooling for centuries to grab FOR FREE Russia’s mineral wealth as they did in the rest of the globe. They cannot believe they have failed. Their biggest disadvantage is Greed and Arrogance. Nick. I don’t doubt that countries and big money are looking out for their own benefit. It would be against human nature if they didn’t. That’s how the game is played.
The oil sanctions will, have effect. Russian oil is no longer needed by America, because America is the largest producer of oil. It is still needed in Europe, but they are finding alternate sources. Oil has dropped to $58.00 per barrel. The lowest its been in years. Russia depends on oil being at least $75.00 per barrel. Saudi Arabia is doing Trump’s and Kushner’s bid. They keep the price low. India is already leaning on giving in to Trump’s demand to cease buying from Russia.
But the major point is that so far, Russia escaped Trump’s tarrifs. Putin overplayed his hand. The American dollar is still used on 90% of world wide transactions. So, this is going to affect them in two ways. Lower income from lost sales and impediments due to the currency sanctions. And Trump is planning on turning the heat on Russia by expanding sanctions.
You know how against Trump I am. But in the Russia sanctions and the Gaza peace, we got to give him credit
Check your facts: In 2025 – as in 2024 – the EU will likely import 20% of its needs in natural gas from Russia. The fact the import less than in previous years is really a negative factor: This is why Germany and the rest of the EU are de-industrialized now. A fun fact: Imports of fertilisers from Russia to the EU rose significantly in 2024: For example, one report says Russian fertiliser exports to the EU “surged by over 33% in 2024 alone, reaching 6.2 million tonnes worth over €2.2 billion. Question to the imbeciles in Brussels and DC: How is fertilizer produced? By natural gas!!
