Cartoon by KYR: “After Kasselakis meeting with Elpidophoros, I believe that after he becomes prime minister, he will proceed to be an Archbishop…”
By Nick Stamatakis
As we have seen many times in politics, laughter, and ridicule are nuclear weapons and have destroyed many political careers. Kasselakis’s trip to New York was a huge disaster, and the main culprit is – who else? – Elpidophoros. First, the Archbishop pushed him to read the “Creed” in the Cathedral last Sunday, with his spouse Tyler sitting nearby, defiling the Faith – and also creating a huge problem for his leftist party SYRIZA, which is not known for adherence to any religious faith: They are primarily atheists or agnostics and are not hesitating to say so. Then, it is likely that Elpidophoros also pushed him towards “fibbing” a miracle around his baptism by Saint Iakovos Tsalikis. Do you know who else had a metaphysical experience with Saint Iakovos? You guessed it: Elpidophoros, who saw him in his dream (link here). Quite coincidentally, after Kasselakis met with Elpidophoros, he suddenly remembered the “miracle of the cross” at his baptism with St. Iakovos…
Too many miracles and too many coincidences led to a lot of laughs in Greece. First came PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis: “When I was baptized, the green olive oil of Crete (αγουρέλαιο) formed the logo of PASOK (Green Sun)… Here is the video:
Then we had two cartoons by the famous cartoonist “KYR.” The first one says: “After Kasselakis meeting with Elpidophoros, I believe that after he becomes prime minister, he will proceed to be an Archbishop…”

The second one: “When you got baptized, what did the oil form?” “It formed a sign of 60% – that’s how expensive the oil has become…

Later on, the social media caught fire with jokes – link here…
But the biggest problems were inside SYRIZA: They could not believe how many contradictory statements and mistakes their leader made in a few days… (link here).
To top it all off, Lakis Lazopoulos destroyed Kasselakis and Elpidophoros in the hilarious first 10 minutes of his weekly podcast:
But none of those phases Kasselakis, who keeps going towards the June 9 Euro elections, proclaiming that SYRIZA will finish first. We shall see. Nothing will surprise me in politics in a year like 2024.
