EDITOR’S NOTE: Greece took Orthodox religion out of schools and now reached kids about “equal rights,” homosexuality, and, of course, “North Macedonia.” But in Turkey, they promote aggressive expansionism at all levels – starting from the schools. And they insist that kids are taught the map that you see here… This will not end well…

The provocations from Turkey are endless and the neighboring country makes moves that only cause debates and impressions.
Specifically, everything started again with the questioning of Greek sovereignty over the Greek islands and of course the question of their demilitarization.
Now, according to what SKAI’s envoy to Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, reports, Turkey is doing something even more outrageous.
It was therefore decided by the Turkish Ministry of Education to include the map of the “Blue Homeland” in the new teaching material of the comments so that the young children can learn it.

This new curriculum applies to all school levels and has already begun to be commented on by the country’s media.
“If it only said ‘Blue Homeland’, in theory it could be anything, but the map also shows Turkey’s rights in the ‘sea of islands’, no longer the Aegean, they are changing the name. Three media outlets are showing it and today the Turkiye newspaper has it on the front page,” said Manolis Kostidis.
“You have to teach and show the map” is the message of the Turkish Ministry of Education to teachers. Children in Turkey are being educated in a logic of revisionism,” commented international expert Takis Hatzivasiliou to SKAI.

If you examine post-WW2 German schoolbooks, they generally cast light on 1933-1945 Germany in a negative historical perspective. People on the streets don’t like talking about that era, let alone in a prideful manner. German legislation has also criminalized Nazi propaganda, to a large extent. This was a result of a defeated / conquered Axis power being forced by the “Allies” to change their mindset in exchange for Reconstruction investment dollars…
The Turks have been on the wrong side of 2 world wars in the 20th century, including their dubious “neutral stance” in WW2. Yet, somehow, they ended up in NATO, and somehow, they were never forced by the “Allies” to teach and acknowledge things like the Armenian / Pontian, etc genocides that they perpetrated…again in exchange for investment dollars….somehow, they just got the dollars and kept teaching a skewed version of history to the next generation, continuing the legacy of aggression against all their neighbors (remember Cyprus, anyone, or what Turkish ally Azerbaijan has been recently doing to the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabah, or even to the raids on Kurds under the observing eye of NATO?). In fact, none of their neighbors actually like the Turks, including the muslim neighbors.
The problem is actually simple to solve, but nobody wants to solve it… If you want more money to float your economy, then you’ll have to teach your children and people the truth, just like Germany and Japan did after WW2…it’s that simple, but nobody cares…Greece will get the short end of the stick once again, even though politicians like Mitsotakis, Papandreou, Tsipras, etc have been literally “selling their own mother(land)” with a smile to “Allies” that are allowing the Turks to continue to do what they do on a perennial basis…
On a side note, the “Western Ukrainians” also were not forced to teach the truth to their children, especially in the last 30 years, and we see the results today…they often blame Stalin’s starvation of the Ukraine as the root cause of their hatred against Moscow & alliance with the Nazis in WW2, but Stalin was a Georgian, not a thoroughbred Russian, and ironically, it is the Georgians that sent mercenaries to the Ukraine to fight against the Russians… 1+1 doesn’t equal 2 when logic is applied…
Nevertheless, there is probably still plenty of “hay” (σανο) on the long-term menu for the voting sheep of Greece to feast on…
