EDITOR’S NOTE: I had the chance 25-30 years ago to visit briefly a few times the South Side of Chicago, and I can tell you you could feel in the air the spirit of this special town that was Chicago and how it helped form such giants as Chris Chelios, whose jersey number “7” was retired this weekend by the Chicago Blackhawks Hockey… Listening to him accept the honor will give you a taste of what I mean… Real neighborhoods help grow real men… I received this note from a friend who knows hockey well: “The original Greek Freak and Chicago Spartan (a famous sports club) legend – arguably the greatest American hockey player. His fitness was legendary: He would ride a bike for an hour in a Russian sauna, then do 300 pushups and situps, then do a cold plunge – in the 1990s before it was cool. Michael Jordan was a big fan and a good friend”… And Michael Rodman also…
ENJOY HIM RECOUNT HIS LIFE BELOW…
