As a migrant boat attempted to land, a group of beachgoers waded into the sea, physically pushing the vessel back into the open water. The migrants, reportedly from Libya, were redirected to the port by the locals. A TikTok video capturing the moment featured a Greek caption: “You came here for no reason lads, have a good trip back.”
Strain on Gavdos and Crete

Migration Minister Thanos Plevris emphasized that these measures aim to manage the situation and prevent further strain on local resources.
