We suffered four full years of Biden’s senility and incompetence in America. Many among us supported Trump to avoid such catastrophic leadership, and we now end up with a lunacy of more wars, more regime change, and a hundred times more narcissism and — likely — corruption. This country cannot afford another four years. Watch the video here:
In that short clip, Donald Trump, leader of the so-called “America First” movement, publicly states he would be honored to receive Machado’s Nobel Peace Prize – a prize she “won” very “dubiously” and has said she would like to symbolically give to him. This bizarre moment, in which a sitting U.S. president considers accepting SECOND-HAND a very controversially bestowed award to a “manufactured by the Deep State” political leader, encapsulates the surreal disconnect between rhetoric and reality that has defined Trump’s second term. Especially because Trump himself discredited Machado four days ago by saying, “she does not have support in Venezuela,” and she would not be leading the country. Absolutely lunatic behavior!! We strongly support Congress passing a “War Powers Resolution” to limit his lunatic actions.
Where His Words Promised One Thing — but His Actions Delivered Another
Throughout the 2024 campaign, Trump repeatedly packaged himself as a candidate who would end wars, avoid new conflicts, and reject “regime change” interventions — all key talking points he used to distinguish himself from both the Biden administration and the Washington establishment. For example:
In speeches and public appearances during 2024, Trump promised that “I’m not going to start wars, I’m going to stop wars” and claimed he had already kept the U.S. out of new foreign military engagements during his prior term. He repeatedly told supporters there would be “no new wars” under his leadership.
In public statements during the campaign, Trump repeatedly said he would end the war in Ukraine quickly — once by saying he would settle it before taking office — which is a promise of cessation of conflict rather than escalation. This, too, was commonly presented as part of a peace-first foreign policy message.
In a campaign-era event, Trump was quoted as reflecting a sentiment against “endless regime change wars around the globe,” framing U.S. military purpose as defensive rather than transformational.
These commitments were not side notes — they were central to his appeal to voters fed up with costly and protracted foreign interventions.
The Reality: Expanded Wars and Regime Change
Yet the last year has told a radically different story:
Venezuela Intervention: Trump authorized a military operation in Venezuela that captured Nicolás Maduro and flew him to the U.S., effectively overthrowing his government — an unmistakable regime change action carried out in direct contradiction to his campaign’s anti-interventionist posture.
Control Over Another Nation’s Resources: Trump has publicly claimed that the United States will “run Venezuela” and oversee its oil production for years — behavior critics call imperial, not isolationalist.
Iran Strikes and Escalation: The U.S. struck Iranian nuclear sites under Trump’s command, pulling the U.S. deeper into Middle Eastern conflict than at any recent time and increasing the risk of broad escalation.
Talk of More Force: Trump and his administration have openly threatened Iran with “severe consequences” and warned that refusal to cease violent repression could trigger U.S. action.
Threatening a number of other countries: From Colombia to Mexico and to Greenland, Trump issued “cowboy” threats to numerous countries. These threats are a sign of panic and chaos and a sign of nothing good for America.
Trump: “I don’t care about International Law – I am restrained by my own morality.”
And if that wasn’t disturbing enough, Trump openly scoffs at international law, telling The New York Times that “I don’t need international law” and that the only thing that could possibly restrain his use of U.S. global power is his own morality — a phrase that should terrify anyone who believes in the rule of law over the whim of one man. And Now: The Most Terrifying Part — Nuclear Escalation
Make no mistake: every administration plays with fire in foreign affairs, but Trump’s recent posture toward Iran — from airstrikes on nuclear sites to threatening additional force if Iran rebuilds and now simply following Israel in the horrible idea of attacking Iran’s missile program — puts the world closer to catastrophic escalation. Iran’s leadership has made clear that if the country feels threatened, its response would be forceful and unpredictable, and recently declared that it would proceed to pre-emptive attacks.
This is not abstract speculation. Those who control Trump behind the scenes are showing a totally “satanic” attitude: it starts with the “Sampson option,” which in this case (war against Iran) means only one thing: using Israel’s nuclear weapons to attack Iran. These people are reckless lunatics!! They know the West has lost the missile technology race already: Last June, during the 12-day war, 40% of Tel Aviv was destroyed!! And a few weeks earlier, Trump was forced to remove the US Gerald Ford aircraft carrier from the Red Sea to save it from the Houthi missiles!! As we speak, Russian civil airplanes are in the process of evacuating tens of thousands of Russian citizens from Israel!!
Conclusion: The Edge of the Abyss
In 2024, many Americans supported Trump not out of blind loyalty, but out of desperation — a desire to escape senility, drift, and endless war. They were promised restraint, realism, and an end to regime-change madness. What they received instead is a presidency defined by impulse, theatrical aggression, contempt for law, and a foreign policy that grows more unhinged by the month.
The pattern is now unmistakable: wars multiplied rather than ended, regime change embraced rather than rejected, threats replacing diplomacy, and international law dismissed in favor of one man’s self-declared “morality.” This is not merely hypocrisy; it is structural instability at the center of global power.
Most alarming of all is the trajectory toward Iran — where reckless escalation, subservience to external agendas, and nuclear brinkmanship converge. In a world already on edge, the idea that unelected actors guiding an erratic president might gamble with civilization itself is no longer unthinkable — it is visible in real time.
This country, and the world, cannot afford leadership governed by narcissism, impulse, and contempt for restraint. History will not forgive another four years of chaos masquerading as strength — and humanity may not survive them.

While I agree that Biden’s tenure was not the best that we could have had, it was more like America has been acting for the past 80 years. And let’s also consider, that Biden wasn’t running in 2024. For those that couldn’t stomach Harris, and you have every right to dislike her, even though I voted for her and was fond of her, but to each his own, you had your choice during the primaries. You could have picked another republican. You did not.
The issue with Trump is that he is impulsive. He does not have thew patience for diplomacy, has no knowledge of the conflicts’ sources and what needs to be done to get at the root of the problem. Methodical work is for the sissies, according to Trump. His plan is very simple. Threaten nations with tariffs, and due to the fact that America is a consumerist, wealthy society, that imports trillions, most countries do not want to be cast aside from selling to such a market.
If tariff threats don’t work, then, threaten bombing. So far, he’s been lucky. Special forces operations have been successful, with no American casualties. There was one casualty a few months ago, which he blamed on Biden. All the successes are due to his leadership according to Trump. With such a record of easy success, plus the threats against NATO’s very existence, world leaders are at a loss. They can’t stand up against an armed force of 1 miliion 300 thousand persons.
But other nations are biding their time. Trump respects China and Russia. But he also fears them. He can only go so far, before he finds himself at odds with those big powers. Venezuela was a blow to the Chinese and Russians, but there are rumors that he bargained away much of Ukraine to Russia and Taiwan to China.
Let’s not forget that Nazi Germany was triumphant until 1943. Then, she wasn’t. Hopefully, Trump being much older than Hitler and with a limited term, such adventurism will be limited. The problem is what happens after he’s gone. J.D. Vance has been a student of trumpism. And he’s only 40 years old.

Trump is very busy mopping up not just the domestic mess left by Coma Joe and “sell and cripple America Mob”, he must also look internationally, with a focus on our Hemisphere to get all foreign Bad-Actor Nations out of our backyard.
This was universally accepted American policy for well over a century until the FDR “internationalists” and “Fauxcialists” infiltrated our government to put themselves and foreign dynamics ahead of US interest and security.
You can have the best home on the block, but if your neighbors are junkies thieves and termites, you will never sleep well.
In one night’s bombing raid, Trump silenced Iran, who was earlier flush with Obama/Biden pallets of cash to cause mayhem abroad.
In another night’s mission, he ended 20 years of a mad and undermining
dictatorship in Venezuela, that had opened its doors to our foreign enemies, while smuggling deadly drugs to poison us.
Without most knowing, Trump has stopped death and destruction by forcing peace on many warring nations, either with a carrot or a stick.
As a result of these actions and more, Russia is weaker and more likely to agree to a cease fire, China’s tail is down in the West. Oil is freer and cheaper for the world. Iran may just straighten itself out as may the good people of Venezuela who will now prosper without a self-serving Maduro’s parasitic plans.
Meanwhile, Trump’s hypocritical and twisted opponents care not for the US victims of illegal immigrant criminals or the waste and fraud they perpetuate with their Democrat allies. If we were not living in this upside-down biased media world, these instigating politicians would all be out of office and their criminal supporters would be locked up on a boat back to their place of birth.
We are all immigrants or children thereof, but when our “leaders” protect and give “sanctuary” to murders, child abusers and thieves, we have a big problem that needs a President with Big Boy pants to at least try to fix.
BTW: i’m no big fan of Vance, but in 4 years, he will have more bona fides than Obama ever did. Plus DeSantis, Huckabee, Rubio and so many other qualified Republicans are ready, willing and able.

Dimitri you need to check your facts. You are basing your assumptions on the wrong data. Russia and China are not weaker. For example, China can invade Taiwan and take it easily without fear for international law or anything else… Don’t forget: China and Russia have hypersonic missiles and we don’t. This fact alone renders all US Navy ships worthless. I could go on. But better watch the developments in the coming weeks and months. Niko, China was in our yard knowing full well they were stealing our candy, so to speak. With Trump on the watch we are back on the Panama Canal, that we built that Carter and friends gave away. We escorted sheepish Russian war ships away from Venezuela and ceased cheap oil heading to their supporters. All without a peek as they know the US pit-bull is protecting its interest. Ask anyone in Taiwan worried about a Chinese invasion and I fully believe they would take this “mad-dog” over the “old hound sleeping on the porch” or that cackling hen.

I will finish this comment by mentioning that as we speak the big financial heads of this world meet secretly in Switzerland to discuss how they can prevent the coming crush of the dollar-based financial system… God help us!!
And one more note: in mid-2024 Saudi Arabia ended the petrodollar and started selling oil to China in yuan.
The US can get into trouble if just ONE of its overseas interventions goes badly. Yet there is something of special relevance to those of us in the Greek diaspora who are concerned for Greece and Cyprus.
if the US is bogged down in a crisis that paralyzes itself, whether foreign or domestic, it could be the moment Turkey is waiting for. It could be a encouragement for Turkey to pounce on the Greek islands, western Thrace, and/or additional portions of Cyprus. Remember that the 1974 Turkish aggression in Cyprus happened during the Watergate crisis.
So, even those commenting on here who happen to oppose Trump must not wish for him to be an utter failure.
I am sure you all understand that it is not about supporting Trump anymore. We have entered the most difficult phase of humanity the last hundred years. Trump’s actions in Venezuela reflect the “Empire’s” losing control. This control depends on the dollar and Venezuela (and before it, Libya, Iraq and others) threatened it. This is a losing battle for the “Empire”. Because by abolishing International Law completely – they do not show any pretenses anymore – they have lost the trust of the World. As we all know, without trust there is no business.
Do not be fooled: Trump is just a pawn in their hands. Trump likes to show off, to pretend that he is more powerful than he is. Trump is also afraid of the Epstein files. All this mix is explosive. Of particular concern is the “Sampson option”: The “Judeo-Christians” who run the Global financial system and the US Deep State and Israel have been very explicit: they would rather destroy the whole world than accept their defeat.
This explains also the very measured reactions of Putin and Xi Ziping. They know that the “Empire” needs just a small excuse, just a pretense of a “false flag” operation to blow up the World… We should be thankful for their reserved position…
I feel that Trump has pried open Pandora’s Box and is wreaking havoc. There is so much to address, but I’ll make just one observation.
Trump said he will not comply with international law. That means he violates his oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.” Article VI says:
“This Constitution… and all Treaties made… under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land”.
Article II, Sec. 3, mandates that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed”.
There is no ambiguity here.
As Nick has eloquently argued in his Helleniscope articles, small countries like Greece and Cyprus have only the law to count on. Discard that and they’re doomed!

Another crucial point: if the current world order is discarded in favor of carving the globe into hemispheres, to be governed by the local regional power like a bully, then Ukraine will be gifted to Russia, Taiwan to China, Gaza to Israel, Latin America to the U.S., etc.
But, then, what bully do we offer Greece and Cyprus to? Erdogan, Trump’s friend, is ready for that role. Are we?
The US supported the invasion of Cyprus in 1974. In January 1996, the US pressured Greece to remove uis flag from Imia to appease Turkey. The Turks instigated the pogroms against the Greeks of Constantinople in 1955.
The US threatened to cut aid to Greece if Athens pushed the issue. If Turkey moves against Greece, the US will try to broker an agreement that gives the Turks at least part of what they want.
Mitsotakis asked the former Secretary General of NATIO Stollenberg to condemn Turkish aggressive claims. He refused to do so. Greece cannot and should not expect support from any western country.
Turkey has too much strategic value for the west and the US in particular to oppose Ankara. The US is an Empire like the British before. Western Empires value Turkey’s strategic position in the Middle East, Central Asia, the Balkans and near Russia. This why the British supported the Turks over the Russians In 1853, and why the US tolerates Erdogan’s jihadists.
I supported Trump because he was an America firster and against Empire. Now that he is on board with the Empire everything previous administrations did he will pursue. That means pro Turkey.
And the Democrats will do nothing differently. Their hatred of Russia is largely motivated by their desire for Empire. Anti Russia means pro Turkish.
Greece is screwed because Athens failed to work its way out of status as a western satellite.

Here, let’s add something for consideration. If the Eurozone is destroyed, as rumors claim, or if Trump’s dreams come true, what currency will European nations use until they issue their own? China’s, Russia’s, or the dollar? Will they Dolarize their currency?
If the dollar were legally abolished or hyperinflated, the U.S. would almost certainly:
Issue a replacement currency (new notes, new unit name, or redenominated “dollar,” or a U.S. Central Bank Digital Currency).
Use emergency measures (such as temporary price controls, rationing, and electronic transfers) while replacing the currency.
In the short term, local barter, private tokens, or cryptocurrencies may be used, but they are not a stable nationwide substitute.

If America devalues the Kratika Omologa that China sells, Americans may lose a significant portion of their social security payments, and China might be unable to sell it globally.

The drama continues to unfold as it has been reported that an ANONYMOUS gambler won $430,000 upon betting peanuts that the US Government would kidnap by capturing Maduro from Venezuela.

I worry about what will happen concerning the interventions being discussed. Still, I do want Trump to have success. Sadly, some on here may actually want Trump to have some big failures.

None of all those of us who supported Trump wishes him failure. But we all voted for “America First” – not “Israel First”. And all of us conservatives value human rights and particularly freedom of speech more than anything else. America without Freedom of Speech is not America. It would be worse than Russia or China. Why? Because at least in Russia or China you have health care coverage. While here we have the government drinking our blood through taxation, the banks abusing us with 25% credit card interest rates and the insurance companies also drinking our blood through excessive rates.
What did you say? Me move to Russia or China? You bet I would move to Russia or China if I lose Freedom of Speech!! Especially for us Greeks “FREEDOM” comes first, before money, before power, before even our lives!! I suggest all of you read KAZANTZAKIS all over again…

Further, I do not believe that YOU wish failure for Trump. But some who comment on here probably wish for that failure.
