EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis): It was pretty interesting for me and all of us to watch yesterday and today, one after the other, the announcements from various parts of the Islamic world condemning the atrocious opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. From Cairo to Tehran and everywhere else, Islamic scholars and clerics denounced the blasphemous pictures from Paris!… (Please see two examples below, one from the prestigious Al-Azhar University of Cairo – even the Mullahs of Tehran came out with denouncing statements). Yes, Islam accepts Abraham, Moses, and Jesus Christ as Prophets, but why should we hear condemnations FIRST from them and then from Patriarch Bartholomew (Pope Francis has yet to issue a statement, but many Catholic leaders worldwide have).
Finally, late Monday evening (Istanbul time), they decided it was not in their interest to stay silent, and they came out with a statement (link here for the Greek text). I translate it for you:
“The Olympic Games are a premier sporting event, attracting the interest of millions of our fellow human beings from every corner of the globe. Their opening ceremony is of great importance as it serves to highlight the history and culture of the host country and spread positive messages globally.
It was with great sadness that we watched during the ceremony in Paris offensive performances for Christianity and the holy Gospel, but also for every civilized person who recognizes the right to believe and respect religious symbols.
These images not only did not brighten the ceremony but tarnished it. Blaspheming God is not progress, nor is insulting the religious beliefs of our fellow human beings a right. We hope the spontaneous expression of disgust and disapproval on the part of the world has sent a sufficiently loud message to the decision-makers and is a source of hope for avoiding similar actions in the future.”
As someone who has been reading official statements for a long time (and on some occasions writing them also), I can tell you that this is a very mild reaction to an atrocious insult to what Christianity holds sacred and holy. Hidden in the third paragraph, Pat. Bartholomew still holds hope for “progress,” as you can see. He still believes that what was the objective of the screwed-up artistic director was “progress” (meaning promotion of LGBTQ ideology, homosexuality, etc.), but it was put in the wrong light!! Shameful!! Why doesn’t Bartholomew have the conviction to come and denounce LGBTQ ideology by name and declare homosexuality a sin? Because he is part of this same sickness!!
AB Makarios of Australia tried to do a little better (link here), but he stayed with generalities. The faithful will never forget that among his first acts after arriving in Sydney was bestowing the highest honor of his Archdiocese on an Australian MP known for promoting homosexuality and gay rights!! Lord have mercy on this supreme hypocrite!
By far, the most Christian reaction was by tens of thousands of Catholics who gathered in the streets of Paris to sing Christian hymns and “cleanse the city from the sicko artistic pseudo-Olympic “spirits.” I am afraid it’s a bit too late to reverse the total degeneracy that France has become today. But also let’s not forget that the French Revolution produced the degeneracy of Marquis de Sade (where the word “sadism” originates), so it is nothing new for the French… They can say they have the chance to revert to Christianity again…

Al-Azhar condemned the “insulting scenes” involving Christ during the Paris Olympic Games opening ceremony on Friday, calling it “reckless extremism and barbarism.”
The ceremony featured a live representation of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” with drag queens and a transgender model. Critics accused organisers of promoting homosexuality and sexual deviance.
In a statement, Al-Azhar, the largest religious institution in Egypt, denounced the portrayal as disrespectful to Christ’s esteemed prophetic stature and offensive to believers.
It reaffirmed its rejection of any harm to any prophets, emphasising that nearly two billion Muslims revere Jesus as a prophet and God’s messenger. Jesus, Prophet Issa (peace be upon him) as he is known to Muslims, is mentioned in the Quran many times.
Al-Azhar warned against using global events to normalise insults to religion and promote destructive social behaviours.
The uproar from the scenes on Friday led to Paris 2024 Olympics spokesperson Anne Descamps apologising, saying there was no intention to disrespect any religious group and that they aimed to display societal tolerance.

Muslim scholars denounce obscene depiction of Last Supper at Paris Olympics
A group of Muslim scholars have condemned the depiction of the “Last Supper” featuring Jesus Christ during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, accusing it of promoting sexual perversion.
In a joint statement, 31 ulema institutions and 70 scholars and academics from Islamic countries criticized the portrayal, which they say promotes homosexuality and markets values contrary to human instincts. The Union of Scholars and Madrasahs (ITTIHADUL ULEMA) was among the signatories.
The statement denounced the reenactment as highly obscene and degenerate, condemning any act that insults the prophets and messengers of Allah. The scholars emphasized that insulting Jesus Christ is offensive not only to Muslims and Christians worldwide but also to all rational people who reject disrespecting others’ beliefs and sacred values.
The scholars criticized the justification of such acts under the guise of “freedom of expression.” They argued that while exercising freedom of expression, respect for others’ beliefs must be maintained to avoid chaos, hatred, and societal corruption. They described the act as an attack on the sacred and a contempt for the beliefs held by the vast majority of humanity.
The statement stressed that opposing attacks on holy sites and insults to prophets is a sacred duty inherent in Islam. The scholars expressed gratitude to those who condemned and reacted to this act, calling on official institutions, human rights organizations, and the general public to escalate their protests and pressure the organizing committee and the host country to apologize for the offensive portrayal.
Calling for international laws to criminalize insults to religions, the statement characterizes the Paris Olympics opening as a stark example of France’s “intellectual and behavioral extremism.” They contend that the country’s claims of promoting justice, freedom, and peace are belied by such actions.
The scholars have called for widespread condemnation and pressure on the French government to apologize for the incident. They have also expressed gratitude to those who have already spoken out against the reenactment. (ILKHA)

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has once again taken a firm stance against the moral decay of contemporary society, particularly targeting prominent political figures like French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife and former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Viganò’s remarks come as he condemns the “Satanic Olympics” for their corruption and moral ambiguity surrounding the event.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, during the Olympic Games opening ceremony, a group of provocatively dressed drag queens stood behind a long table, appearing to recreate the Lord’s Supper.
During another part of the opening ceremony, a pale horse raced at full speed with a rider donning an Olympic cape.
Revelation 6:8 reads, “And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill twith sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.”
Archbishop Carlo Viganò, who was recently excommunicated by Red Pope Francis for sharing the word of Jesus Christ, did not hold back in his criticism of Macron, referring to the French leader’s wife, Brigitte Macron, as a “transvestite.”

The Archbishop also directed his ire toward Barack Obama, describing his wife, Michelle Obama, as a “muscular man in a wig.”

The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games is only the latest in a long series of vile attacks on God, the Catholic Religion and natural Morality by the antichristic elite that holds Western countries hostage. We had seen no less disconcerting scenes at the 2012 London Olympics, the 2016 inauguration of the Gotthard Tunnel, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games, featuring infernal figures, goats, and terrifying animals.
The elite who organize these ceremonies demand not only the right to blasphemy and the obscene display of the foulest vices, but even their mute acceptance by Catholics and decent people, who are forced to suffer the outrage of seeing the most sacred symbols of their Faith and the very foundations of the Natural Law desecrated.
We witnessed a dystopian dance macabre in which holograms of the horsemen of the Apocalypse alternated with a plump blue Dionysius, served under a bell of various courses; the parody of the LGBTQ+ Last Supper, the truculent performance of a decapitated Marie Antoinette singing Ça ira called to celebrate the horrors of the French Revolution; the ballets of bearded transvestites and effeminate dancers accompanied by pitiful mime singers.
In this provocative spectacle, Satan knows how to do nothing except ruin God’s creative perfection, showing himself as the envious author of every counterfeit. Satan creates nothing: he only ruins everything. He does not invent: he tampers. And his followers are no different: they humiliate woman’s femininity in order to erase the motherhood that recalls the Virgin Mother; they castrate man’s manhood in order to tear from him the image of God’s fatherhood; they corrupt the little ones in order to kill innocence in them and make them victims of the most abject wokeism.
The opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games have given scandal, not only because of the arrogant display of the ugly and the obscene, but because of the infernal subversion of Good and Evil, the insane claim to be able to blaspheme and desecrate everything, even what is most sacred, in the name of an ideology of death, ugliness, and lies that defies Christ and scandalizes those who recognize Him as Lord and God.

Tolerance cannot be the alibi for the systematic destruction of Christian society, a society by which billions of honest and hitherto silent people identify themselves. This prevarication must end! And it must end not so much and not only because it hurts the sensibilities of believers, but because it offends the Majesty of God.
Satan does not have the rights of God, evil cannot be put on the same level as Good, nor can lies be equated with Truth. This is what our civilization is based on, a civilization that some would like to bury under the physical and moral rubble of a world in shambles.
It must be made clear that the patience and forbearance of the faithful and of citizens have been exhausted, that it is no longer time to “deplore” but to act, even and especially when civil and religious authority are complicit in the betrayal.
It is therefore necessary for Christians to organize around the world with concrete actions, first and foremost with a boycott of the Olympic Games and all their sponsors.
It is equally necessary for companies not subservient to globalism to revoke their sponsorship contracts, and for delegations and individual athletes to withdraw from the Games, which were inaugurated under the worst auspices.
We must expect and demand that those responsible for this intolerable bullying be held accountable for their actions, as well as for the corruption that also accompanies this event. Finally, the homosexual set designer who gave birth to this blasphemous and vulgar spectacle must repay the fee that Macroniades charged French taxpayers.
I urge Catholics to make reparation by prayer, fasting, and penance for the outrages perpetrated against Our Lord Jesus Christ and against our holy Religion. And may the confident recourse of those who are good before the Throne of the Most High not be divorced from a general awakening of consciences, so that the King of kings may once more reign over nations, societies, families, and the Church.

I don’t know who disgusts me more. The perverted ideology the French Olympic Committee holds sacred or the culpable silence of “Ecumenical” Patriarch Bartholomew – I don’t expect much from the Pope. Clearly, these last two are not church leaders, just pathetic politicians who have sold themselves all around. To the French Olympic committee I would like to say that it doesn’t matter how smart or educated you are. Without any respect for God in your dark souls, or at least some respect for other people’s religion, you are like the UNCIVILIZED mule, you know, the DUMB ASS, which is loaded with diplomas and degrees. It doesn’t matter how many of them you have on your back, all you know how to do is BRAY, like your hedonistic, pleasure-seeking predeccors in your over-indulgent French society. Dear Readers and Helleniscope, I would like to retract the comment I posted earlier on July 31 at 1:29 pm. Although I truly feel disgusted with the Olympic organizers, disappointed in our Patriarch for not taking a stronger stance, and very angry with those who blaspheme Jesus Christ, my God, it was wrong of me to call them “dumb asses” and “braying mules”. I feel very sorry for such people who think that by dehumanizing themselves and blaspheming what is sacred to others, they are somehow achieving a level of personal “freedom.” it is, in fact, the opposite, as they become slaves to their passions, to Satan himself, as was so clearly shown in the “entertainment” section of the opening ceremonies. I need to remind myself that no matter how low someone may sink, and even if they worship the devil, they are still icons of Christ, who need my love and my prayers so that one day, somehow, they will see the true light and repent of their sins. Only by knowing Christ and imitating Him do we become truly happy and truly Human. Please forgive me for my outburst and my bad choice of words. My resolve to boycot these Olympic games by not watching them and to never visit France, the Bohemian capital of the world, remains unchanged.
