It is time for Greeks to raise the Greek Flag across our cities and villages.
In England, brave English patriots have raised their flag across towns and cities in defiance of the tyranny of the globalist elites who rule against the will of the people.
In Greece, however, the same elites have long tried to scare Greeks away from patriotism. For years, being a proud Greek—wearing a shirt with the flag, or simply standing tall for our nation—was made to seem shameful.
But why should you care what others think of you?
I call on Greeks everywhere to raise our flag along the main streets of our cities and villages. Put it on your balconies, in your shops, and in the cafés of Athens. Athens belongs to the Greek people, not to globalist interests.
Let Greek flags fly across Plaka and Monastiraki so that both tourists and elites are reminded: this is Greece.
In solidarity with English and Scottish patriots, let us raise our colors across the land.
Too often, I encounter so-called Greeks in Athens who behave more like “global citizens” than proud Hellenes. Many profit off tourism—off Greek music, Greek food, Greek history—yet care little for Greece itself. Among the youth, some try to imitate American or Hollywood trends, adopting fashions that have nothing to do with our culture.
A flag costs almost nothing. Buy a few and raise them in your villages. Do the same across the country, from Thrace to Crete.
For Greek Americans: make sure your local Greek Festival, hosted by Greek Orthodox parishes across the USA, proudly displays the Greek flag. Too many are afraid to fly it, even while profiting off Greek food and culture.
