More than 80% of Americans oppose going to war with Iran.
That is not a partisan talking point. It is not a fringe statistic. It is a blunt political reality. After two decades of catastrophic Middle Eastern wars, the American public understands the cost in blood, treasure, and global chaos. They do not want another one.
Donald Trump, forced or blackmailed by the Zionists (we will likely never know) has decided to give them one anyway.
In defiance of overwhelming public opposition, and without a clear congressional mandate, the president has plunged the United States into direct military confrontation with Iran — a nation of nearly 90 million people, with advanced missile capabilities, entrenched regional alliances, and a demonstrated capacity for asymmetric retaliation.
This is not strategic genius. It is reckless escalation masquerading as strength.
The War Most Americans Didn’t Vote For
Trump built his political brand on denouncing “endless wars.” He mocked prior administrations for wasting American lives in the sands of the Middle East. He promised restraint.
Now he has chosen expansion.
The disconnect between public will and presidential action could not be more stark. Americans are exhausted by foreign entanglements. Veterans remember Iraq and Afghanistan. Families remember flag-draped coffins. Voters remember trillions of dollars evaporating into geopolitical quicksand.
Yet here we are again — sleepwalking toward another regional inferno.
Presidents often overestimate their ability to control escalation. History suggests they are almost always wrong.
Netanyahu’s War, America’s Consequences
This crisis did not emerge overnight. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spent the past year aggressively lobbying Washington for a hardline posture toward Tehran. Seven visits to the United States in one year is not routine diplomacy; it is sustained political pressure.
Netanyahu has long framed Iran’s regime as an existential threat — language that carries enormous strategic implications. Israel maintains deliberate ambiguity about its nuclear arsenal, but no serious observer doubts that it possesses one. When a nuclear-armed state describes another government as existential, the world should pay attention.
The current military campaign reflects not defensive improvisation but strategic alignment between two leaders who believe force solves political problems.
But force does not eliminate risk. It multiplies it.
The 12-Day Warning Ignored
Last year’s brief but intense exchange between Israel and Iran — a 12-day barrage of missiles and drones — was supposed to be a wake-up call. Iran demonstrated that it could hit Israeli territory directly. Israel begged for a ceasefire as 30-40% of Tel Aviv was destroyed, along with defense industry installations and refineries… And they had ran out of defensive systems…
Instead of treating that clash as a warning about the fragility of deterrence, leaders treated it as a rehearsal. Now the rehearsal has become the main act.
Iran has retaliated against Israeli and American targets. Regional militias – particularly the Houthis – are mobilizing. Last Spring Trump was forced to order a US aircraft carrier to leave the Red Sea as it was attacked by the Houthis – why do this again now?… Oil markets are jittery. U.S. bases across the Middle East are exposed. The risk of miscalculation is no longer theoretical.
And in war, miscalculation is what kills.
The Nuclear Shadow
The most dangerous element of this crisis is not conventional war. It is the nuclear shadow hanging over it.
If Israel concludes that regime change in Iran cannot be achieved through conventional means, pressure for drastic escalation would intensify. Even without explicit declarations, the logic of “existential threat” rhetoric carries implications that the world cannot ignore.
Nuclear weapons do not have to be used to destabilize the planet. The credible possibility of their use is enough.
Once nuclear thresholds are breached anywhere, escalation dynamics become uncontrollable. Major powers are forced into confrontation. Alliances harden. Deterrence doctrines fracture. A regional war becomes a global crisis.
Trump is gambling not only with American lives but with the architecture that has prevented nuclear catastrophe for generations.
Destroying a Presidency
This decision could be politically fatal. Wars launched without public support rarely gain it through casualties, economic strain, or prolonged conflict. Presidents survive scandals and policy failures — but not unnecessary wars that spiral out of control.
Trump campaigned on ending foreign disasters. If this conflict expands, he risks being remembered for reigniting it. Already the Hormuz Straits are closed!! And today I witnessed lines forming in our local gas stations as people anticipated higher prices and shortages…
The Road to World War
Iran is deeply embedded in regional alliances and global power dynamics. Escalation would not stay contained.
History shows that major wars often begin not with declarations, but with incremental retaliation: strike, counterstrike, deterrence failure — until the conflict grows beyond control. Leaders believe they can manage escalation. They rarely can.
Especially in our case, when we know that behind all major developments are the Rothschilds and the bankers of the City of London. The Epstein case has uncovered them: in the latest bunch of documents, their name appears 12,000 times!! Epstein was revealed to be mainly their pawn, using videos of powerful politicians to blackmail them!!…
The Rothschilds helped establish the State of Israel for one main reason: to control the oil and resources of the Middle East (which they achieved with the “petrodollar” deal of Kissinger with the Saudis in 1972). Americans do not want another war.

From all his speeches, Trump is clearly aware of the Iraq war errors. So again, until the dust settles you shouldn’t conflate the errors of Iraq 20+ years ago that started with “boots on the ground” , with Trump’s air/tech/intelligence superiority that exists before any trigger get pulled. His decisions and actions violated any principle of international law. When China takes over Taiwan – which could happen anytime the Chinese decide and with relative ease – what are we going to say? The US has maybe 2-3 weeks’ worth of missiles. Does anyone really think Iran is going to surrender that soon? What happens when the supplies run out and Iran’s government is still in place? This was a stupid decision and I bet a majority of the generals wouldn’t support it if they were allowed to say so.
The biggest beneficiaries of the wars in Iraq, Syria, and Libya were jihadists. Where did ISIS come from? The Baathist regime in Iraq, bad as it was, was a secular one. You know what? The Christians in Iraq were secure and were destroyed by the jihadists who flocked to Iraq after the fall of the regime.
In Libya, the fall of Khaddafi led to the presence of Al Quada and ISIS. It led to 21 Coptic Christians being beheaded by ISIS. In Syria, the Assad regime was a secular one. The Assad regime protected Christians, women, and others who were targeted by jihadists.
It’s the US and Israel who created the conditions for the rise of jihadism throughout the Middle East. In Gaza, it’s not the jihadists who were being bombed. It was Palestinian civilians including many Christians and Churches who were bombed in Gaza.
Regarding Israel, government backed settlers have harassed the Christian town of Taybeh in the West Bank. They have killed farm animals belonging to Christians and destroyed Christian property.
I voted for Trump and gave money to his campaign. I believed his promise to end these wars. The Iranian regime is Shiite and served as a counterbalance to the Sunni jihadists of Al Quada and ISIS.
Remember Al Quada? One of their members is now the President of Syria.
No, the neoconservatives and their Democratic friends are not fighting jihadists. They have strengthened them and have destroyed some of the oldest. Christian communities in the region.

Donald Trump and his regime have just declared an illegal and dangerous war on Iran. And, yes, this is a war, not a one-off bombing. As Trump declared early this morning, “the United States military is undertaking a massive and ongoing operation” with the goal being regime change so that the people of Iran “can take over your government.”
And Trump prepared the country for dead Americans, stating, “The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost and we may have casualties. That often happens in war.” Yes, Trump used the word “war” to make it clear that is what we are now engaged in with Iran.
But Trump did not approach this war like past American Presidents by seeking congressional approval as required by the Constitution and building public support for the war. Instead, Trump, like Vladimir Putin, just launched a war on another nation because he believed it helps him personally. That is the metric for every decision by Trump as president.
As Nick correctly stated, the Iraq war was approved by 77% of Americans, —while the current war has a 25% approval rating–but it was based on the WMD lies that Bush and Cheney told us. And to think that our “mad King” was adamant that the Iraq war was a big mistake and he would never push America into a war. Trump, just as a dictator that he wants to be, doesn’t feel the need to consult congress or the voters. Trump is drunk on the feel of the power that he has over the biggest military in the world. Next war will be because someone didn’t show the respect that he expects.
There are two additional issues. Six months ago, Trump was telling us that Iran’s nuclear capability was “obliterated”. When observers doubted that it was true, he called them traitors and faked news. The other problem is that Iran is much bigger and stronger nation that Iraq. Even though weakened, it can lash back. And I doubt that Iranians are going to rise up against their regime. It would be considered treason.

I am also against this war and consider Trump a liar for breaking his promises to end these wars. But in all fairness, every President starts a war. Bush-Cheney invaded Iraq, Clinton bombed Serbia, and Biden provoked the Russians in Ukraine.

The difference between now and the other wars is that Bush got congressional approval, even with lies of WMD, Clinton’s bombing of Serbia was approved by NATO and you are wrong that Biden provoked the Russians. In early 1999, at Rambouillet American negotiator Richard Holbrooke presented a plan to the Serbs they knew would not be accepted. The plan given to the Serbs required that Serbia would have to give up Kosovo after three years. Madeleine Albright later bragged about proposing a deal they knew the Serbs could not accept.
On Iraq, the Bush administration spent a year and a half lying not only about “weapons of mass destruction” but that the Iraqi’s were complicit in the 9/11 attacks. These were lies.
Whatever formalities the Clinton and Bush administration may have observed, the behind the scenes maneuvering in favor of war discredits any pretense of legitimacy in those aggressive wars.
On Russia. Mikhail Gorbachev was once assured by Secretary of State James Baker that NATO would never expand an inch eastward. Exploiting Russian weakness, NATO gradually expanded eastward in three waves.
In 2014, the US and NATO overthrew Ukraine’s democratic government.
Seeking to expand NATO to the Russian border was a threat to Russia. Russia has a history of being invaded from the Teutonic Knights to Hitler. The Biden administration and NATO kicked the Russians and Moscow responded.
What Trump has given us is what Clinton, Bush-Cheney, Obama, and Biden gave us.
On the bombing of Serbia, dont forget that it involved all of NATO. Not just America. Serbia was comiting war crimes. Kosovo is currently independent and the Balkans are peaceful. All of the Balkans want to be part of the EU. The bombing of Serbia did bring an end to the Balkan wars
The Iraq war, I fully agree with you. I was opposed to it, when more than 75% of Americans were complicit, including you, probably, because you are republican.
As for NATO expansion, which you suspect as the trigger to the Ukrainian invasion, you are totally wrong. There was a verbal offer of no NATO expansion, but it was not in writing, so, its not binding.
Moreover, the West did not push NATO area to Russia’s border. The nations of the area sought NATO’s protection from Russia’s anti-democratic expansion. Each nation should have the right to decide for itself where they want to belong. Who in their right mind would choose Russia, instead of the West?

The warring parties in the former Yugoslavia all committed atrocities against one another. An example is the 250,000 ethnic cleansing of Serbs by Croatian Neo Nazis in August 1995. The Kosovo liberation army well known at the time as a terrorist organization and for their criminal activities including heroin trafficking and human trafficking began a terror campaign against Serbia.
Atrocities were committed by both sides. General Wesley Clark presided over the indiscriminate bombing of civilian targets in Belgrade. The feeling was all Serbs are collectively guilty.

I would have advised President trump to wait a few weeks or months, giving more time for diplomacy. Nevertheless, the decision to attack was made. There are numerous shades of opinion on this site, but I for one hope that it does not end in disaster for the US and that Israel can survive.
