EDITOR’S NOTE (Nick Stamatakis). This is a very proud moment for all of us and a remarkable achievement for all Hellenes, as Christina Kitsos, a second-generation proud Hellene born in Switzerland, was elected Mayor of Geneva a couple of days ago and will assume her office in June! She speaks Greek fluently and remarkably never went to any Greek school!! She spoke Greek at home and visited Greece every summer… She is very conscious of the heritage of Switzerland by Ioannis Kapodistrias, the Russian Foreign Minister, the true leader of the Greek Revolution of 1821, and the first Governor of Greece in 1829, who was able to govern for only three years and was assassinated by British agents…
She is doing this interview with Greek TV ERT in the Palace of Eynard, a banker, Philhellene, and a close friend of Kapodistrias. She explains the heritage of Kapodistrias to Switzerland in a few words: “Not only did Kapodistrias write the Constitution of Switzerland, but he founded the two most important principles of the Swiss state: “Federalism” and “Neutrality.” I should add that Kapodistrias wanted to apply similar ideas to Greece (at least neutrality), but the foreign agents who then as now are the puppets of foreign powers, took his life…
Did I mention that the traitors, who then governed Greece, had already gotten a loan from the Rothschilds in London during the Revolution, years before the Greek State was established?…
Christina Kitsos is planning to build a statue of Kapodistrias and Eynard together in Geneva…
ENJOY THIS REMARKABLE WOMAN TALK ABOUT HER DREAMS, SWITZERLAND AND GREECE – FOLLOWED BY THE NEWS.

Geneva Elects First Greek-Born Mayor: Christina Kitsos Takes Office in June

Interesting, another female leader of Greek heritage living in Switzerland as is Greek Orthodox Vassula Ryden married to a Swiss diplomat and has became known as a “Spiritual Prophetess” claiming to see Jesus and receives messages from Him via her own hand…
I read her book 10 years ago:
‘Heaven Is Real, But So Is Hell’
Please read the messages that are called ” True Life in God” and she her mission, since 1988. The website is tlig.org

Congratulation to Christina Kitsos. I too read the Heaven is Real, But so is hell book that Zoey mentioned. It was a best seller on Barnes and Noble online https://bookstore.tlig.org/collections/the-messages-and-vassula/products/heaven-is-real-but-so-is-hell. This is a proud moment for the women of Geneva and those of Greek decendent. She has a promising future to work on such noble issues for her constituents. She reminds me of another woman of Greek heritage with a very noble issue and had lived in Geneva, her name is Vassula Rydèn. Vassula had address the Ecumenical Conference of the World Council of Churches during Unity Week, January 23, 1992 in The Ecumenical Center, Geneva, Switzerland. Here is the link: https://ww3.tlig.org/en/unity/a-spiritual-echo-of-unity/. Congratulations again Christina Kitsos!
I too am familiar with the writings of Vassula Ryden and am aware they have received Ecclesiastical Approval. Her writings are part of the rich mystical history of our Christian tradition where God has spoken to His children. Personally, I have no doubt whatsoever that Jesus and Mary are, in fact, speaking to us in our times. Recall Our Lady’s appearances and Messages at LaSalette, Fatima, Garabandal, Akita, Medjugorje, Tre Fontane (77 years ago today!), etc. As per Holy Scripture, we are to ‘test the spirits’ and ‘not despise prophecy’.
We are living in very chaotic times, where our Lord and Saviour wishes to Unite the broken Christian Body. Check out http://www.TLIG.org and believe! Christ is real, our Christian Faith is real, and TLIG is direct evidence of this.
When one reads John 14,15,16 Jesus very clearly states that He will send the Holy Spirit to us as a Reminder of His Word. TLIG is THAT Reminder for our times.✝️
Peter, Barbara or Niki – anybody know if the rumors are true, that the Patriarch Bartholomew long ago excommunicated Vassula?
Thanks.
This booklet on “Crimes Against The Unborn” are extracts from the True Life in God divine inspirations . Jesus is giving us important messages on this topic.
Recently, there was a young couple, who was planning to have an abortion and after they read this booklet, they decided to have their child.
You can download free to read https://ww3.tlig.org/en/spirituality/crimes-against-the-unborn-references-in-the-tlig-messages/
January 22, 1990 “…kill their child before even its birth; pray for the wombs that shape these children but forget them, and their names are recalled no longer”
August 5-29, 1990 “…I have forbidden you to kill, generation! …crimes of unborn children”
Jesus gives this beautiful message….
…it was I who created your inmost self and put you together in your mother’s womb; – and as I watched daily, inebriated with delight, your bones taking shape, forming in secret,….

I am patient and slow to anger but I am quick to forgive and forget;
no one should say that I am only after holy people; I am known to go and find the sick and wretched; their wretchedness attracts Me, their incapacity to reach Me makes Me all the more eager to pull them up to Me and press them to My Heart; I am Jesus and Jesus means Saviour and I come to save and not to condemn; https://ww3.tlig.org/en/messages/485/
…what God wants of you is a change of heart; do not be afraid to acknowledge your sins; live and practise the sacrament of confession; My children, I bless you all;

Kali Sarakosi!
Georgia – the idea of using Abortion as a form of birth control is also truly disgraceful… also,
the very act of indulging in sexuality without mindfulness and commitment toward sex partner, even if there be No pregnancy — THAT TOO
is sinfulness.
In Eastern Orthodox Spirituality, this
is desecration of the sexual sphere.
I wonder if Ms Kitsos is pro -life and against gay marriage. Living in, and getting elected in Geneva almost guarantees that she supports abortion rights and gay marriage. Maybe she isn’t the super star suggested on this sight.
Regardless of her political positions she is part of a system that “checks and balances” politicians as she herself explains. They wouldn’t dare impose same sex marriage in Switzerland without a referendum! We don’t celebrate her – we celebrate the most democratic system on earth, functioning continuously for over two centuries and established by Kapodistrias. Do you realize why we never remember the name of a Swiss prime minister or president? The answer is because they change every 6 months (if I recall correctly)!! And so they never concentrate too much power in their hands!
So you give a pass on same sex marriage and abortion if it is supported by ” the most democratic system on earth'”. I also assume you would not question her positions since she is a Greek, who speaks Greek, because she has been elected mayor of Geneva. Would you label her a heretic?
First of all you and we do not know if she is a believer. She hasn’t publicised her faith or lack of faith. Second, if the same sex marriage is approved in a referendum by the majority (and if there is not voter fraud – in Switzerland there is not) then what are we going to do? It would be the law of the state legally and democratically. Those of us who oppose this lifestyle would come closer to our faith and be living our Lives within our church communities. We know she is a “socialist” but in some European countries this is just what we used to call a “democrat”. In any case the point in talking about her is that she sees herself as the inheritant of Kapodistrias, who created this democratic system using ancient Athens as a prototype.
My assumption is that she is not a Christian. However, on issues of abortion and same sex marriage our judgements should be consistent with the teaching of the church.
I assume that her beliefs are very similar to Kamala Harris.
