Synthesis Cultural Foundation Inc. raises the curtain for the new season of events with a tribute to the legendary Giorgos Zampetas.
This tribute is part of a broader series of events organized both in his birthplace and among the Greek diaspora, marking the centennial of the birth of the singer, composer, and songwriter who passionately served Greek music and became one of the most important rebetiko musicians of his time.
The stars of the tribute are Christoforos Zisoulis, Sofia Tzinis, Maria Papson, and bouzouki virtuoso Christopher Papson, performing songs accompanied by The Hellenic Musical Society Choir and the orchestra under the direction of Petros Chatzopoulos (piano), with Giorgos Nasis on bouzouki, Spyros Exaras on guitar, and Theodoros Tsinia on percussion.

The tribute will take place on Friday evening, November 7, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. at the Stathakion Cultural Center in Astoria, located at 22-51 29th Street, Astoria, New York.
